Estate Vineyards

Howard Park has more than 30 years of experience in West Australia’s premier grape-growing regions; Margaret River and the Great Southern. Since 1986, the viticultural team has grown an intimate, exhaustive knowledge of vineyards in these areas, culminating in the careful acquisition and development of four properties:

Leston and Allingham in Margaret River, and Mount Barrow and Abercrombie in the Great Southern. Each site has a differing focus and personality, but the overarching theme is control – tailoring each rootling or bud to suit, and keeping the fruit, the handling, the expertise in-house.

Viticulture and Sustainability

The Howard Park approach to viticulture is one of continual improvement, excellence and innovation. This is evident in the vineyard practice, helmed by Chief Viticulturist David Botting and Vineyard Operations Managers Nic Taylor and Max Mollan. The team is given freedom to focus on projects of their interest and to control processes in-house; from establishing a rootling nursey, to building custom vineyard machinery, or importing specific vine clones.

MÉTHODE TRADITIONELLE

Howard Park is a pioneer of méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine, as the biggest producer of this style in Western Australia.

In 2017 the company took out Best Australian Sparkling for its Jeté Brut Blanc NV at the highly-respected Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships in London.
