Australia’s First Families of Wine

In 2009, Howard Park was asked to join Australia's First Families of Wine (AFFW), an exciting collective of 12 multi-generational family-owned wine producers. Together the AFFW represent 16 wine-growing regions across Australia, in four states and have more than 1200 years of combined winemaking heritage and experience.

The aim of the collective is working to engage and educate consumers, retailers, restaurants and the wine industry across the globe about the real character and personality of Australian wine, and about the unique characters and personalities behind it.

Collectively, AFFW own 5000 hectares of Australia’s prime viticultural assets around the country. The organisation boasts a prestigious line up of iconic members, hailing from multi generational wineries who have been at the forefront of Australian technique and culture.
