2007 Howard Park Chardonnay Reviews

This will prove a hit from the very first sip. It has the lively citrus flavours and racy acid that Howard Park chardonnays are known for, along with some melon and cashew complexity. There's a touch of mineral in there, too. All up it's a lovely wine and if you're patient for a couple of years, the toasty characteristics will really start to show through. Lovely, and worth every cent.

The thing about this wine is that it's so clean, fresh and long that I just love drinking it. It's not over-made like so many. It has cut and focus but a gentle nature and offers apple, melon and some grapefruit flavours with spicy oak in support and a creamy cashew richness to the texture. Fluid and graceful with fine soft acidity and a long clean finish. It's a beauty.Drink 2008 - 2013.

Barrel fermented with natural yeasts. Very fine, fresh, taut toasty nose with lemony freshness and hints of figgy richness. The palate is concentrated, fresh and intense lemony with high acidity, taut lemony fruit and lovely toasty richness. It has a cool climate feel to it. Sophisticated and refined this is like a modern style Puligny Montrachet. Give this 3-5 years and it will be fascinating.

?A fine citrus-dominant style, with lemon, nectarine and a little spice from the oak; quite fine on the palate, with underlying power that really drives through to the finish; very even and harmonious. To 2017.?

Beautifully balanced, elegant from beginning to end; a plethora of flavours, none dominant, underscored with strength. "The Howard Park is really in its own space ? a wine of true beauty."

Wow! I have forgotten how competitive Howard Park Chardonnay was. Good tropical fruit flavour, a hint of banana that is hinted on the nose, and a lot of soda like minerality and lemon myrtle citrus keeping it all juicy and fresh. Length is majorly impressive. I can?t speak more highly of this wine.

In the classic, cool Howard Park style, this is a zesty, fine Chardonnay with great length and fine acidity. Excellent fruit concentration manifests itself as grapefruit and mixed spice aromas on the bouquet and as white peach, mandarin and wisps of vanillin oak on the palate.

You could argue that Margaret River is Australiaa's most significant high-quality chardonnay region. Flagships such as Howard Park are national benchmarks. The subtle, refined, multi-faceted '07 has aromas of grapefruit and honeydew melon with oaky spice in the background. It tastes tangy with seamless, silky ultra-fine texture and great length.
