Passionfruit tropical aromas take you to southern WA; the wine has a tightly focused, intense palate structure with high acidity which bodes well for ageing. Pristine fruit of great finesse and length. Drunk young, it?s great with fish.Good drinking now or in the next 8 years.

Terrific wine. Grapefruit, lemon rind, an intense minerality - dry, tart, taut and intense, with a pencil sharpness. Pale, green-tinged colour. A model of Great Southern Riesling. Drink: 2008 - 2015

Consistently one of WA?s best Rieslings, this is the most approachable Howard Park for a few years: intense, pure lime juice with bold, racy acidity.

Howard Park has come up with two glorious wines from the 2004 vintage ? the First Label Riesling (95 points) and an astonishing MadFish Riesling that topped its class at the Qantas Western Australian Wine show. The senior wine has spotlessly clean apple blossom aromas, with a lovely palate and an essence of sweet lime followed by a dry finish. It shows no ill effects from the screwcap, which will guarantee its development during the next 15 years.
