Travel Information
Traveling time to Margaret River from Perth is approximately three hours. Major towns that you will pass by are:
- Mandurah - approximately 1 hour
- Bunbury - approximately 2 hours
- Busselton - approximately 2.5 hours
Busselton is known as the "Gateway to the Margaret River Region". From Busselton you can either continue towards Margaret River or take the scenic Caves Road tourist drive which takes you through Yallingup and Dunsborough.

FROM BUSSELTON - DIRECT ROUTE
- Busselton bypass toward Margaret River (follow signs)
- Take the Bussell Highway 36km to the township of Cowaramup
- Turn right at the Lion's Park Memorial Drive
- Turn right again at the T-junction onto Miamup Road
- Continue approximately 5.5km down Miamup Road and turn left into the entrance of Howard Park Wines.
SCENIC CAVES ROAD TOURIST DRIVE
- Busselton bypass to roundabout.
- Turn right to Dusborough
- From Dunsborough follow the signs to Yallingup (tourist number 250)
- Just before the town of Yallingup, turn left at the brown Town Hall onto Caves Road (tourist number 250)
- Access Howard Park Estate via Fifty One Road which is approximately 600m south of the Harman's South Road and opposite Juniper Road.
AIR TRAVEL
There are two airlines that can bring you directly to the Margaret River Wine region with minimal travel time ie. an hour. You can reach either airline by contacting either of the tourist bureaus in the region.
